First Arab Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility
The Arab Administrative Development Organization, which operates under the League of Arab States, will be holding the 1st Arab Forum for Corporate Social Responsibility in cooperation with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The event, slated for April 13 to 15, 2009 at the Chamber headquarters with the theme ‘Arab and Foreign Experiences.’
Social responsibility is a relatively new concept in the Arab World although it has already become crucial in helping Arab companies project and promote a positive image throughout the Arab business community.

As part of the 2nd Forum of the Ministers of Social Development for the Arab Region with the focus on the role of Corporate Social Responsibility in social development in the Arab region, 22 Ministers of Social Development from the Arab States met in Amman, Jordan, from 12 to 14 November 2008.
